The purpose of the accredited doctoral training program in Computer Sciences consists in development of science, critical thinking and educational training of professionals for participation in and independent conducting of original and scientifically important studies. Relevance of this training is defined by the demand for computer science specialists with higher education degrees.
After completion of the accredited doctoral program, the graduates are awarded the degree of the Doctor of Computer Sciences. The training process results in gaining knowledge that allows students to be able to independently conduct science and research work in the field of computer sciences.
The doctoral program in Computer Sciences, in addition to mandatory disciplines, includes optional subjects, which allows doctoral students to choose the direction, themes for introductory paper to their doctoral thesis and the thesis itself in accordance with their interests.
The doctoral training program allows doctoral students to gain the required knowledge in the field of computer sciences in the course of training, as well as get a chance to:
- independently set and solve tasks in the field of computer sciences,
- take part in implementation of international scientific projects,
- understand, value and apply state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of computer sciences,
- think critically, act in a creative and independent way,
- respect the principles of ethical code of scientific community and proper ethical practice,
- communicate in a professional manner when presenting results of scientific research,
- contribute to development of computer sciences both through scientific and research activities and by means of projects implemented by economic entities,
- report on the results of scientific studies and discuss them at scientific meetings, as well as publish them in scientific publications.
