The Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (FMRN) are pleased to announce the 1st International Scientific and Professional Conference “ALFATECH“ in the field of Information Technology. This academic event will take place on March 15th, 2024, focusing on the theme:

SMART CITIES AND MODERN TECHNOLOGIES

The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners who explore and engage with the concept of Smart Cities and define technological innovations in urban areas, as well as the numerous challenges and threats faced by future cities. The fundamental issues that we shall attempt to address at this conference revolve around the applicable concept of utilizing information and communication technologies in city management processes, where technology would be used to manage all aspects of functioning fully and comprehensively: assets, transportation, water and energy supply services, traffic, education, healthcare, all with the goal of more efficient resource utilization and improvement of citizens’ lives. In this regard, the proposed presentations can be inspired by the following themes and research areas:

  • Data collection concepts that enable the application of analytical methods, including predictive analytics.
  • IoT applications in smart cities.
  • Safe cities.
  • Modern technologies and their application in smart cities.

SUBMISSION

Conference sessions will be held in both live and online format, at Alfa BK University, Belgrade, and via Google Meet. The registration fee for scientific papers for authors from Serbia is 1200 dinars, while for authors from other countries it is 10 euros. Instructions for fee payment will be provided after the acceptance of your submission. Deadline for the submission of papers is 3rd March 2024.

Alfatech conference accepts original, previously unpublished works.
All submitted works will be reviewed by an international scientific committee, through a double blind review and one formal review.
Papers describing any research approach and results or type of paper including conceptual, empirical and critical literature reviews.
English is the official conference language – all papers have to be written in formal English.
Submitted papers must be formatted using conference template.

All papers must be sent to alfatech@alfa.edu.rs
All accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts – print and online.
All accepted and presented papers will be published in the Proceedings of the Alfatech Conference – printed and online, with ISBN, DOI and UDC number.
Updated versions of the selected papers will be published in the scientific journal AlfaTech with DOI and UDC number.
All accepted papers will be indexed in Google Scholar which is under SCOPUS evaluation.

Instructions for payment of the registration fee will be sent after acceptance of the abstract. The deadline for submitting abstracts and papers is March 3, 2024.

Abstracts and complete papers for the conference (presentations lasting up to 15 minutes, or be present on poster season) can be sent to alfatech@alfa.edu.rs
