PROJECTS

I U-0001/2018 Financial and non-financial reporting: Special requirements that call for guiding principles for authentic and correct presentation of business events

MEMBERS:

Prof. Dr. Jozefina Beke-Trivunac (head of the project), Dr. Jelena Krpić, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milica Simić, Prof. Dr. Larisa Jovanović

PROJECT SUMMARY:

In additional to financial information, main users of financial reports more and more frequently need non-financial information that indicates long-term sustainability of business. The ability of a subject to stay resistant to risks associated with natural and social environment is bilateral in nature. The subject influences its environment, and at the same time the environment influences the subject. The method used by the subject for management of its resources, including financial, production, intellectual, human, social and natural resources, as well as risks to which these resources are exposed, determine stability of the subject. Identification of important sources of resources and relevant significant risks, as well as their quantitative assessment shall supplement information from financial statements.

I U-0002/2018 – Environmental protection funding

MEMBERS:

Prof. Dr. Larisa Jovanović (head of the project), Prof. Dr. Jozefina Beke-Trivunac, Prof. Dr. Antoaneta Vassileva, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dragan Vučković, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milan Brklјač

PROJECT SUMMARY:

The study of the possibility of effective funding of environmental projects is the main goal of our project. Environmental financing is crediting or investment used to achieve positive effects due to saving of energy and natural resources and reduced environmental pollution. Development of bank financing is initiated by institutional investors and international financial institutions, as well as central banks of many countries of the world. The subject of study of funding sources for environmental projects, in addition to banks, may include other models as well , such as starting investments in the existing fields, financial foundations of green obligations, private-state cooperation and transborder cooperation for construction of environmental protection facilities.

Environmental protection projects are often aimed at industries related to production of equipment for enterprises focusing on environmental protection. The use of renewable energy sources instead of fossil fuels makes it possible to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Financing of products aimed at increasing energy efficiency through the use of renewable energy sources and power-saving products, as well as other measures have a positive effect on the quality of the environment (for example, water, air and earth quality protection, waste management and recycling). Crediting of environmental protection projects at the expense of funds of international banks EBRD, HSBC is mostly aimed at large investment projects. Funding includes the following projects:

  1. Construction of solar power plants, small and miniature water power plants, wind power plants, biogas plants and factories for production of bio-diesel and other bio-fuels.
  2. Investment in other activities, such as processing of products, wastewater treatment, air quality protection and waste management.

The importance of environmental protection projects is extremely high due to the problems of global warming and climate changes.

I U-3001/2018 – Support of local sports clubs from the point of view of management of sports organizations and coaching technology

MEMBERS:

Prof. Dr. Nemanja Pažin (head of the project), Prof. Dr. Jovan Veselinović, Prof. Dr. Jozefina Beke Trivunac, Prof. Dr. Bobana Berjan Bačvarević

PROJECT SUMMARY:

Operation of small and medium sports clubs on the local level is directly defined by programs and projects for funding/co-funding by local self-governance authorities, which suggest allocation of the required funds from the municipal or city budget on the annual level. Considering the fact that there are over 13,000 registered sports organizations in the Republic of Serbia, the funds and methods for their distribution in practice are usually not sufficient for normal development of most small and medium sport clubs. The tasks of the project include increasing financial and professional independence of small and medium sports clubs due to improvement of work from the point of view of management of sports organization and coaching process in order to achieve greater results in sports.
