Alfa BK University, as a partner, invites participation in the BIP open call for the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) ‘Sustainable Blue Economy’, organized and hosted by the Faculty of Business Studies at Burgas Free University (Burgas, Bulgaria), scheduled for the period of 11-15 April 2025.

The Blended Intensive Programme is intended for students ( from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle) from the following fields of education (ISCED) – 0410 Business and Administration, 0311 Economics, 0421 Law, 0610 ICTs.

The topic of this ERASMUS+ Blended intensive programme is ‘How Can Environmental, Social and Governance Standards Benefit Your Business?’. The proposed BIP focuses on the following main aspects:

• To understand the core concepts of the Blue Economy and the Sustainability principles.

• To develop knowledge of Blue Economy and maritime sector framework and strategies.

• То understand the specifics of the growth in the BE sectors if sustainability and circularity approaches are applied.

• To provide practical skills for generating business ideas and their implementation in the sectors of the blue economy.

ECTS awarded: 5 credits

The face-to-face part of the BIP will take place at Burgas Free University in the period 11 – 15.04.2025.

The daily workload is 8 hours, combining the theoretical part with workshops and cultural activities.

We are planning a variety of activities:

– A Warm-Up Workshop and a tour of Burgas Free University;

– Workshops

– A variety of social events, including lunch and trips – e.g. a cultural trip to the ancient town of Nessebar, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites;

The online part will take place in 2 online sessions before the physical mobility as follows:

1st online meeting – 02.04.2025 ( 17- 19 h)

2nd online meeting – 07.04.2025 – (17- 19 h )

The language of training is English. There is no registration fee. Participants are responsible for covering their own accommodation, living and travel costs. They are expected to get the Erasmus+ Mobility grant from the KA131 Erasmus projects, at Alfa BK University.
