Student of the generation and a member of the Graduates Association of Alfa BK University

“I entered the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Alfa BK University thanks to the specially developed training concept that meets the requirement of the job market and offers English philology graduates to continue development of their career after graduation in the sphere of education on various levels, in the fields of translation, culture and mass media.

Training within the bachelor’s degree program is mostly focused on interaction between tutors and students, which means that students actively use English language in various contexts in order to gain confidence in course of communication. This approach to learning, aimed at combining theory and practice, allowed my colleagues and myself through selfless work of our tutors to expand our interests in the field of business English, HR management and the culture of business talks and apply the knowledge obtained in any business environments irrespective of the nature of work. Thanks to these skills, as well as knowledge of Italian and Spanish languages, which the students are also able to study at the Faculty, many of my colleagues continued their careers as tutors, written and legal translators, as well as managers and advisors in successful domestic and foreign companies. Thanks to internationally recognized diploma, some of them continued their training abroad; most graduates have found jobs of English tutors in such countries as Germany, Norway, Italy, China and so on.

The Faculty of Foreign Languages is a great place to boost motivation and personal vocations. During studies, I had a chance to further develop my love of literature thanks to participation in international conference,s writing articles for the Faculty Compilation and the Reči journal, as well as active involvement in organizing various events and courses conducted at our faculty. It helped me realize how much time, work and effort our tutors spent to organize all these events while staying cordial, open and devoted to our studies. Inspired by their selflessness, I took a master’s program in English literature at my local university.

The level on which tutors monitor and appreciate work and diligence of students is evidenced by the fact that several of my coworkers and I have been invited to become teaching employees and then assistants at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. It allows me to develop my teacher’s experience while working with wonderful smart young people, and it motivates me to fully open myself to them and discover their hidden talents.

Studying English language is not easy at all. It demands daily work and performance of pre-exam and exam duties. If you’re not able to attend lectures in person, you can use the e-class to learn about the plan and program for every discipline, which will facilitate your learning process. However, here’s the best advice: attend lectures and practical classes regularly if you can, maintain communication with tutors via e-mail and be actively involved in the studying process. Use the possibility provided by the Faculty of Foreign Languages which consists in employing highly qualified academic staff and innovative training program to develop communication and presentation skills that the youth of today need to become competitive in the job market and achieve their desired positions as soon as possible.”
